Born to Preach, Stanley Kimble has been ordained to be a messenger of God unto God’s people. Reverend Kimble’s quest–“to study to show thyself approved”–led him to enroll at the Morehouse School of Religion of The Interdenominational Theological Center, Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated with honors on May 2, 2009 with a Master of Divinity degree and a concentration in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. While in seminary, Reverend Kimble was the first recipient of the Dr. John H. Waters Award in Preaching and was granted the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Memphis Award.
Reverend Kimble is a 2014 graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, Illinois, where he received a Doctor of Ministry degree in Homiletics. Reverend Kimble was nominated to participate in the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel 2016-2017 College of Pastoral Leadership Program at Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia. This fifteen month program was initiated with a twelve day ecclesiastical excursion to Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa.
Reverend Dr. Kimble was called to the Mount Moriah Baptist Church on Friday, June 30, 2017, and began his official ecclesiastical assignment as Senior Pastor August 1, 2017. In the first year of serving Mount Moriah, the congregation was blessed to liquidate the mortgage and a Mortgage Burning Celebration was held April 2019. God has strengthened the church, its ministries, and many new endeavors have been initiated to include a praise dance ministry, feeding the homeless ministry, social justice ministry, garden project, leadership institute, training for ministers, and the purchase of land.
Reverend Kimble is married to his college sweetheart, the former Michele Dollar. Born to Preach, Reverend Kimble is enriching, empowering, and encouraging the lives of God’s people through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
